Rob has served as President and Chief Executive Officer since 2009 and as a Director on the Board since 2010. Rob’s previous experience in the oil and gas industry includes leadership roles in general management, operations, marketing and strategic planning for companies that include ExxonMobil, Transocean, Nabors Industries and McKinsey & Company. Rob holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Princeton University and an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. Rob serves on the Board of Trustees for Spindletop Charities.
Mac has served as Senior Vice President, Operations since 2015. Mac joined Atwood Oceanics in 2011 as Vice President, Operations. In this capacity, he is the principal operating officer of Atwood, responsible for the overall direction and oversight of worldwide rig operations. Previously, Mac spent sixteen years at Transocean in positions of increasing general management and operations responsibility involving both deepwater and shallow water drilling rigs. Mac has also served as a consultant for Sonat Drilling Services, Inc., Triton International and Petroleum Engineers, Inc., and also held various positions with Amoco International Oil Company. A graduate of Tulsa University, Mac holds a BS degree in Petroleum Engineering.
Barry has served as Senior Vice President, Technical Services since 2015. Previously, he served as Vice President, Technical Services since 2008. In this role, he has overall responsibility for Atwood’s maintenance, engineering and newbuild projects functions. Barry joined Atwood in 2006 and served in various maintenance and technical roles prior to his present position. Prior to joining Atwood, Barry worked for more than twenty years at Transocean where he was responsible for the implementation of the worldwide maintenance system for over eighty-five drilling vessels. Barry began his career with Diamond M Offshore and has also worked at Culver Drilling. Barry has held a Unlimited MODU Chief Engineers License and was an approved DNV and Lloyds Surveyor.
Mark has served as Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer since 2015. He has responsibility for the company’s global financial operations. Prior to this appointment, he served as Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer and Controller since 2014 and in other finance and administrative roles since joining the Company in 2009. Including his service to the Company, Mr. Smith has over 20 years’ experience in the financial, consulting and energy industries including senior management positions in public audit firms, working for Arthur Andersen LLP, PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP and Calvetti, Ferguson & Wagner, PC. Mark holds a BBA and MBA from Baylor University and is a Certified Public Accountant. Mark serves on the board of directors of Child Advocates, Inc.
Drew has served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary since 2015. Drew joined Atwood in 2011 as Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. In this role, he is responsible for oversight of all legal and compliance matters related to Atwood. Prior to joining Atwood, Drew served as Vice President, General Counsel of Frontier Drilling, prior to which he worked for over fifteen years with Transocean and its predecessor companies, GlobalSantaFe and Global Marine, in various legal and corporate roles. Drew earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Vanderbilt University and his JD degree from The University of Texas School of Law.
Stuart has served as Vice President, Human Resources and Administrative Services since 2014. He joined Atwood in 2008 as the Area Manager, HR Services, based in Perth, Australia, and later served as Director, Human Resources in the Houston office. Prior to joining Atwood, Stuart held various operations, management and human resources roles at Katanga Mining Ltd. and at Alcoa World Alumina. Stuart holds a Master’s Degree in Industrial Relations, a Post Graduate Degree in Education, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Physiology and Industrial Relations from the University of Western Australia.
John has served as Vice President, Health, Safety & Environment since 2014, a position in which he also has oversight of the company’s Quality Assurance and Security functions. John joined Atwood in 2008 in the role of Director, Health, Safety & Environment. With more than thirty-five years of industry experience, John has worked globally in operations, QHSE and training roles with GE Oil & Gas, Halliburton Energy Services and Sperry-Sun. John’s educational background is in civil engineering. He is a Chartered Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety & Health and a Fellow Member of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (FIIRSM).
Mark has served as Vice President, Marketing and Business Development since 2015. He leads Atwood’s worldwide marketing and business development activities and oversees the cultivation and enhancement of the company’s client relationships. Mark joined Atwood Oceanics in 2015 as Vice President, Client Relations after more than 30 years of offshore drilling industry experience with Transocean, GlobalSantaFe and Global Marine. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Offshore Energy Center and the Advisory Board of Spindletop International and is a member of the IADC (International Association of Drilling Contractors) and SPE (Society of Petroleum Engineers). Mark holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Texas Christian University.
Evelyn Nordin has served as Vice President and Treasurer since 2015. Evelyn has global responsibility for financial planning, including budgeting and forecasting, as well as cash management, accounts payable and certain investor relations functions. Evelyn Nordin joined Atwood in 2010 as Assistant Treasurer and was appointed Treasurer of the company in 2013. Previously, Evelyn served in various treasury and financial planning roles at Scorpion Offshore and AT&T. She holds a Masters of Business Administration from Rutgers University and a Bachelors of Science from McNeese State University.
Geoff Wagner has served as Vice President, Strategic Planning since August 2016 and is responsible for the implementation and execution of Atwood’s strategy across the company. Prior to this assignment, Geoff served as Vice President, Technical Services and Supply Chain, where he led Atwood’s worldwide engineering, reliability and supply chain functions, and Vice President, Marketing and Business Development, where he was responsible for Atwood’s worldwide marketing and business development efforts. Prior to joining Atwood in 2010, Geoff held various managerial and operations positions at Transocean and ExxonMobil. Geoff holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Engineering and Nautical Science from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy and an MBA from Rice University.
