Robert J. Saltiel
President and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Saltiel has twenty-five years of experience in the oil and gas industry serving in a variety of leadership roles focused on general management, operations, marketing and strategic planning, both domestically and internationally. He has worked with industry leaders such as Exxon Mobil, Transocean, Nabors Industries and McKinsey & Company. Rob earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Princeton University. He also holds an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. Rob is on the Board of the Palmer Drug Abuse Program and is a member of the Spindletop Charities Advisory Board.
James M. Holland
Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Secretary
Mr. Holland joined Atwood Oceanics in April 1977 as Accounting Manager after seven years with the public accounting firm, Arthur Andersen & Co., the last two of which he served as an Audit Manager. Mr. Holland was promoted to Controller in October, to Treasurer in January 1980, and to Vice President Finance in May 1981. He served in these capacities until October 1988 when he was appointed to his current position. Mr. Holland received his Bachelors Degree in Accounting from Texas Tech University in 1967, his Masters of Business Administration from Texas Tech University in 1970, and he has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1971. Mr. Holland, as Chief Financial Officer, is responsible for the financial and accounting activities of Atwood and serves as the companys corporate Secretary. Mr. Hollands activities have involved finance, accounting and tax matters, (both in the U.S. and in various international areas in which Atwood has operated), as well as investor relations.
Glen P. Kelley
Senior Vice President, Administration and Marketing
Mr. Kelley worked for Atwood Oceanics from 1974 until 1980 in various accounting and administrative positions. He then was employed by Diamond M Company as Director, Foreign Administration until December 1982, when he re-joined Atwood as Manager of Operations Administration, was promoted to Vice President in 1988, and his current position in 2004. Mr. Kelley attended Graceland College and the University of Texas where he received a Degree in Business Administration in 1970. Mr. Kelley is responsible for contracts, including bid coordination, contract negotiating, property risk management and insurance. In addition, he is responsible for the planning and compliance of international operations, administration of local joint ventures in host countries and internal operation budget analysis and management. Mr. Kelley has previously served as chairman of the IADC Tax Committee and vice chairman (International) of the Contracts Committee.
Alan Quintero
Senior Vice President, Operations
Mr. Quintero has served as the Company's Senior Vice President of Operations since June 2008. Prior to serving as Senior Vice President of Operations, Mr. Quintero held the position of Vice President of Engineering from June 2007 until June 2008, General Manager of Engineering from May 2006 to June 2007 and Manager of Engineering from August 1994 to May 2006. Mr. Quintero joined the Company in July 1993 as Senior Project Engineer. Mr. Quintero has worked in the E&P, engineering, service and drilling contracting sides of the oil industry, providing a varied experience. He joined Atwood after two years with Underwater Tools, Inc. as Project Manager. Prior to this, Mr. Quintero spent six years with Exxon Company USA in various drilling, engineering and management positions. Mr. Quintero holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University, and is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and a director of the IADC.
Ronnie L. Hall
Vice President, Operations
Mr. Hall joined Atwood Oceanics in February 1995. Mr. Hall began his oilfield career in 1974 as a floorman. After acquiring broad international operations experience, both in offshore rig positions and as an Operations Manager in a number of international locations including the Irish Sea, West Africa, Trinidad, the Middle East, Pakistan and China, he received a B. S. in Civil Engineering, cum laude, from Texas Tech University in 1992. Since joining Atwood Oceanics, Mr. Hall has completed several international management assignments in Australia, Malaysia, Egypt, Israel and Italy. Mr. Hall managed the upgrade project and renovation of the ATWOOD SOUTHERN CROSS in Singapore during 1997 and was the Operations Manager of the ATWOOD EAGLE during the upgrade project in Greece during 2002. Mr. Hall was appointed General Manager of Operations in April 2007 and Vice President of Operations in April 2008.
Randal F. Presley
Vice President, Administrative Services
Mr. Presley joined Atwood Oceanics in March 1987 as Administrative Manager. Previously, Mr. Presley was employed with Diamond M Company and Fish Engineering and Construction Company serving in accounting, administrative, operations and management positions. Several of these activities involved extended assignments in Nigeria, Cameroon, Gabon, Zaire, and Australia as well as the United States. Upon joining Atwood, Mr. Presley served in India for two years assisting in the successful commencement of joint-venture operations. In 2006, Mr. Presley was promoted to General Manager Administrative Services. In this capacity, Mr. Presley has broad ranging management responsibilities that cover Internal Audit including all areas of corporate compliance; the Companys Information Technology Department; Human Resources; Employee Development; the Safety, Health, Environment and Security Department; Benefits; and Office Services. In June 2008 Mr. Presley was promoted to Vice President Administrative Services. Mr. Presley attended Texas Tech University and the University of Houston where he received his Bachelors Degree in Accounting in 1976.
Barry M. Smith
Vice President, Technical Services
Mr. Smith joined Atwood Oceanics Inc. in April 2006. Mr. Smith started his career with Diamond M Offshore as a Mechanic in company central shop and worked up to Chief Mechanic while attending classes on Electrical systems. Mr. Smith then joined Culver Drilling Co. as Maintenance Superintendent where he was charged with the maintenance and repair of fourteen land rigs. Mr. Smith then joined Sonat Offshore which is now Transocean where he worked for more than twenty years. He worked for Transocean in various positions throughout the company from Electrician to Corporate Maintenance Manager. In his roles he was responsible for the implementation of the worldwide maintenance system for over eighty-five drilling vessels. Mr. Smith was also heavily involved with the equipment selection and design on the companys fifth generation drilling vessels. While onboard the Transocean vessels, Mr. Smith held a Unlimited MODU Chief Engineers License and was an approved DNV and Lloyds Surveyor for the selected rigs.
Michael A. Campbell
Vice President, Controller
Mr. Campbell joined Atwood Oceanics in March 2001 and served as Controller and subsequently as General Manager - Financial Services from September 2001 to December 2008 before being promoted to his current position in January 2009. Working with Mr. Holland, Mr. Campbell is responsible for overseeing all accounting, tax and financial reporting matters for Atwood. After obtaining his Bachelors Degree in Accounting from Texas A&M University in 1991, Mr. Campbell worked four years in public accounting at Ernst & Young primarily in the oilfield service industry. He then spent six years as an Assistant Controller at a manufacturing company and subsequently at a privately held investment company before joining Atwood.
